I would first like to begin by honoring you for your hunger for the truth while reading this book. Let me assure you, that I am a true follower in the Kingdom of God. My hunger is real and the Lord has graciously honored my desire for more of Him throughout my life. However, in saying that, I must admit there have been times when I have been deceived in my perception of other people. Though red flags were present regarding an individual I interviewed, because I had received gemstones myself, I chose to ignore the warnings. I am hopeful that my quick obedience and response to the warnings of the Holy Spirit has much improved by now.
Let me preface this by saying, I am fully convinced of the genuine experiences of most people, where heaven-originated gemstones, gold dust, and manna have appeared. I have met many sweet, humble individuals, who with pure faith and tender consciences, have encountered many of these things as the supernatural realities of heaven invade our natural realm here on earth. Some of these people were hesitant in sharing their stories publicly in print as they had already endured much persecution as skeptics rejected their experiences.
However, among those genuine saints, I have also run across one whom I now believe has slipped from the purity of faith and a good conscience and is in danger of suffering “shipwreck” while causing others to “shipwreck” as well. (1 Timothy 1:9, Jude 1:12) The book of Jude pinpoints the source of this deception as “greedy pursuit of financial gain” in verse 11.
In this particular case, Glenn, the man I interviewed, admitted he had, years before, succumbed to “helping God” by secretly dropping gemstones to stir up the faith of those present. Often, this seemed to cause real heavenly gemstones to begin falling. He was caught doing this and publicly reprimanded. However, he insisted that he no longer did that and at that time (in 2007) the real heavenly gemstones had begun falling again. Several eyewitnesses confirmed his stories.
Recently, however, while visiting a dear pastor friend of ours, he described this very same man coming to his church to speak. After he spoke, some gemstones showed up on the church carpet. The pastor collected one of the gemstones and took it to jeweler to have it evaluated. Unfortunately, the stone turned out to be cheap costume jewelry made from plastic.
It grieves my heart to hear that Glenn has once again slipped back into his old deceptive ways. I am aware that the enemy often loves to mimic the genuine creating doubt among believers, but unfortunately, this man has a history of deception.
I sincerely apologize for ignoring the warnings of the Holy Spirit so many years ago and adding this man’s stories to the book. I hope you will join me in praying for him that he will repent and come clean in the presence of the King of Kings and the Body of Christ before it is too late.
Sincerely,
Mary Trask
